A specialty acid-based liquid flux effective in removing the oxide barrier when soldering to Stainless Steels or Nitinol Alloys. May also be used when soldering to brass, lead, chrome galvanized iron or steel.
Cleaning the flux residue is mandatory and may be accomplished by means of warm water and mechanical scrubbing. Cleaning should be performed as soon as possible after the soldering operation to avoid any potential corrosion. Flux #2 does not progressively corrode stainless steel, but cleaning is still advisable.
