Product Overview

Indium Flux #6 is a high-activity viscous liquid flux formulated for soldering aluminum and other difficult-to-solder metals including Nitinol (NiTi), stainless steel, chrome, brass, and copper. The higher viscosity helps the flux adhere to the soldering surface for easier processing and improved solder wetting.

Flux #6 is commonly used in medical device manufacturing, prototype development, and specialty metal joining applications where standard solder fluxes may not provide sufficient activity. It works best with tin-containing solder alloys with zinc, silver, or copper.

Due to its corrosive nature, Flux #6 is not recommended for electronics assembly applications, and post-solder cleaning is required.

Packaging & Shelf Life

Jar Pack: 25GM

Available in liquid form for precision soldering applications.

Product should be stored according to manufacturer recommendations.

Flux residue removal is mandatory after soldering.

Cleaning Instructions

Flux residue removal is mandatory and may be accomplished by means of warm water and mechanical scrubbing. Cleaning should be performed as soon as possible after the soldering operation to avoid corrosion. The cleaning water temperature should be 60°C. A warm water sonication may also be a means of flux residue removal.
